Rurie Arthur Mirick 1894-1976


Rurie Arthur Mirick was born in Durango, Falls County, Texas in 1894.

Rurie joined the Army in 1917 when he entered World War I.
Rurie Mirick and his wife, Sarah married at Rev. Cook's house in 1919.
Rurie and his family were share croppers and later he worked at the Waco Veterans Administration Hospital in them kitchen.
Rurie and Sarah had 9 children.

Rurie died in 1976.

Sarah Lee Smith was born in Bruceville, McLennan County, Texas.
Sarah worked at Hawk and Buck as an Inspector of sewing and later she work at Diamonds Cafe as a cook. She played and also taught the piano.
