William Joseph Boykin 1829 - 1902
William Joseph Boykin was born May 1829 in Screven County, Georgia.
William moved to Texas when he was 16 and joined the Texas Rangers. William married Elizabeth Jane Criswell when the Civil War start his group of the Texas Rangers converted to Texas State Troops and he fought for Confederacy. He was sent to Jackson Mississippi where he came down with an eye infection and was placed in the hospital.
After the war he returned to Texas awith his family. William and Elizabeht had William Joseph Boykin 1861-1905, Hettie Lou Boykin 1864-1911, Robert Lee Boykin 1866-1905, Rhoda Edon Boykin 1868-1945, Calle Lee Boykin 1870-1931, Henry Fins Boykin 1873-1880, Cuthbert Ferrell Boykin 1874-1880, Lucrecia Ruth Boykin 1875-1953, Lillie Mae Boykin 1879-1968, Clemons Eli Boykin 1881-1918, Maggie Boykin 1885-1885.
William died in 1902.
